Rain (Jung Ji Hoon) and Lee Sung Min are in talks to star in the upcoming drama Solo Leveling.
On July 9, local media reported that Rain and Lee Sung Min had officially confirmed their appearance in the Netflix original series Solo Leveling.
In response to the reports, Rain's agency commented, "We are still reviewing the casting offer for 'Solo Leveling'. No final agreement has been reached yet." Meanwhile, Lee Sung Min's agency has not issued any statement yet.
"Solo Leveling" tells the story of Song Jin-Woo, a Rank E Hunter, the lowest rank among those who defend the world against monsters. After a near-death experience, he levels up to become the strongest Hunter capable of saving the world. The series is based on the novel and online comic of the same name, published on the Never website.
Byun Woo Seok has been chosen to portray the character of Song Jin Woo, while Han So Hee is in talks to portray the character of Cha Hae In. He is also in discussions with Kang Mi Na, Kang Yoo Seok, and Cha Woo Min to join the series.
The series will be co-directed by Lee Hye-joon and Kim Byung-seo, and produced by Kakao Entertainment and Sanae Pictures.
