Actor Lee Joon Gi will be starring in the Japanese drama "Kidnapping Game."
On May 22, Namoo Actors revealed that Lee Jun Gi recently joined the global mega project Kidnap Game, a co-production featuring production teams from Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong.
The events of the series “The Kidnapping Game” revolve around kidnapping cases that erupt simultaneously in seven Asian cities: Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Naha, and Manila, and it tells the story of characters who enter into a survival game between life and death to save someone dear to them. The series has now been confirmed to be shown on television and digital streaming platforms in 18 regions around the world.
In the series, Lee Joon Gi plays Han Ki Joo, a highly skilled surgeon. Ki Joo is a character who lives an ordinary life away from the medical field for some reason. But after his blind daughter is suddenly kidnapped, he engages in a game to save her.
Kidnap Game also stars Japanese actor Sakaguchi Kentaro, Taiwanese actress Ko Chia-yen, Hong Kong star Stanley Yao, Singaporean actor Carrie Wong, Filipino actor Joel Torre, and Thai actress Prayu Narupornkamol Chesang. The drama will be broadcast on Channel A.
The series is scheduled to premiere in October.
