tvN has announced the full cast of the upcoming Korean drama Mom’s Friend’s Son.
On March 13, tvN revealed that in addition to Jung Hae In and Jung So Min, Kim Ji Eun, Yoon Ji Eun, Park Ji Young, Jo Han Cheol, Jang Young Nam, Lee Seung Joon, Kim Geum Soon, Han Ye Joo, and Jun Shim Soo Young, Lee Seung Hyub, and Sook Ho will also be joining the upcoming K-drama Mom's Friend's Son.
Mom's Friend's Son is a romantic Korean drama that depicts the story of a woman who wants to resume her troubled life and her mother's friend who was the reason for the dark chapter in her life.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next project from director Yoo Ji Won (Crash Course in Romance) and writer Shin Ha Eun (The Crowned Clown). The two previously worked on the 2021 hit K-drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.
According to the production team, “Mom's Friend's Son will feature love, friendship, and family love, in the backdrop of a friendly neighborhood called Hyoryeong-dong. Please expect the actors' collaboration that will complement the warm and enjoyable romance in Neighborhood.”
Mom's Friend's Son will begin airing in the second half of 2024.
Jung Hae In will play Choi Seung Hyo. He is a young architect and representative of the architecture workshop in. Everyone loves him because of his perfect looks, great personality and lots of skills. The only dark history in his life is Bae Seok Ryu.
Bae Suk Ryu will be portrayed by Jung So Min. She has always been on top since she was a child. She also never experienced failure. After becoming part of a global company, Bae Suk Ryu experiences failure due to a certain incident. Choi Seung Hyo is the son of her mother's friend.
On the other hand, Kim Ji Eun will play Bae Suk Ryu and Choi Seung Hyo's childhood friend named Jung Mo Eum. She works as a 119th paramedic and has a complete passion for justice. Yoon Ji Eun will be reviving the character named Kang Dan Ho. He works as a reporter and is always on site. One day, he'll move into the house next door to Jung Mo Eum.
Park Ji Young and Jo Han Chul will portray the role as Bae Seok Ryu's parents. Park Ji Young's character named Na Mi Suk is known to be outspoken. Meanwhile, Jo Han-chul will play Bae Geun-sik and owns a small snack bar.
Jang Young Nam and Lee Seung Joon will be Choi Seung Hyo's parents in the drama. Jang Young Nam will play Seo Hyo Suk, and Lee Seung Joon will play Choi Kyung Jung, a professor of emergency medicine.
Meanwhile, Kim Geum-sun, Han Ye-joo, Jeon Suk-ho, Lee Sung-hyup, and Shim Soo-young will be added to the cast to make the story more interesting. They will be neighbors of Jang Hae In and Jung So Min in the drama.
