Lee Soo Bin will be the main heroine of the upcoming Korean TV drama Potato Research Center.
On March 19, media outlet Star News shared an exclusive report revealing that Lee Soo Bin has been cast alongside Kang Tae Oh in tvN's upcoming K-drama Potato Research Center.
This will be Lee Soo Bin's upcoming third Korean drama.
The actress is also expected to join the upcoming K-dramas Mission 2: Possible and Super Couple.
Last year, Lee Soo Bin led the K-drama original Coupang Play with ZE:A's Yim Siwan, Kang Hyo Won, Lee Shi Woo, Kim Eun Bae, and Kim Jong Jin. She has also appeared in the Korean drama The Heavenly Idol.
Besides the K-drama, Lee Soo Bin will also be joining the upcoming films Noise, Sumbi Sori, and CSAT: Secret of Exam Questions.
Lee Soo Bin is known for being a part of the works Mission 1: Possible, Rampant, 38 Task Force, Team Bulldog: Off-duty Achievement, Work Later, Drink Now, and more.
Potato Research Center will tell the story of the romance that will blossom in the research center located in a mountain valley.
Lee Soo Bin will play Kim Mi Kyung. She has been a potato researcher for 12 years and works at the Potato Research Institute. She looks like she's been a long-time unemployed woman in the neighborhood but only speaks in biological terms when she opens her mouth.
On the other hand, Kang Tae Oh will portray the role of Soo Baek Ho. He is the new director of the Potato Research Institute. He is also working on a secret project.
The new K-drama will be the next project from director Kang Il Soo and writer Kim Ho Soo. The two previously worked on the 2019 historical K-drama titled Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.
Potato Research Center is said to premiere in 2025 and will air exclusively on tvN.
