JTBC's upcoming fantasy mystery drama stars Cho Seung Woo as Han Tae Sool, a genius engineer who embarks on a perilous journey to uncover hidden beings secretly living in our world, and Park Shin Hye as his rescuer Kang Seo Hae. She comes from a future that has fallen into ruin due to war, and takes on the mission of protecting Han Tae Seol in order to save the world.
The two posed for a photo shoot that appears in the March issue of Elle Korea. In an interview with the shoot, Cho Seung Woo explained why he decided to join the cast, saying, “The overall energy of the drama was magical. It seemed like something we had never seen before in a K-drama.”
When Park Shin Hye was asked about the relationship between her character Kang So Hye and Cho Seung Woo's character Han Tae Seul, she said, "Empathy is the emotional foundation that deepens their relationship." She added, "If you watch the drama, you will see the direction in which feelings develop between them."
Park Shin Hye also shared, "So Hye is not a friendly person. She was just living to survive, and she carried a gun even before she learned how to be a member of society. However, that's why she's so honest and pure. You'll be able to feel a different kind of warmth from her."
The actress said of the dramatic action scenes, "I wanted to try to perform physically while still being younger. In real life, I really enjoy exercising outside on my own."
About her co-star Cho Seung Woo, she said, "Cho Seung Woo barely had time to rest after finishing his previous project and yet he rarely made mistakes in his lines, so I had no excuses. I felt amazing energy while working with him."
Cho Seung Woo said about Shin Hye, "The action scenes stand out a lot but her emotions and translation ability are even more amazing. Since the project moves back and forth in time and space, setting and getting to know the emotions is not easy, but Park Shin Hye was the person who had the most detailed understanding of it."
