Lee Jong Suk will reportedly return to K-Drama after a two-year absence.
On November 22, Lee Jong Suk's team officially responded to circulating reports about the actor's casting.
According to Lee Jong Suk's representative, "Lee Jong Suk has received the offer to star in the upcoming K-drama 'I'm Against My Romance' and is reviewing it favorably."
"I'm Against My Romance" will be the next work from director Lee Eung-bok, who is known for directing the hit K-dramas "Sweet Home," "Mr. Sunshine," "Goblin" and "Descendants of the Sun."
The upcoming K-drama will tell the romantic story of a reunion between two former lovers. The story will unfold when two former lovers decide to reunite and rediscover whether the relationship is just a continuation or the beginning of a new, unfamiliar relationship.
Aside from Lee Jong Suk, actress Jo Min Se also got an offer to be the female lead. Previously, actor Choi Hyun Wook received an offer to be the lead of the drama but due to a schedule conflict, he declined the K-drama.
Lee Jong Suk received an offer to play the lead role named Kim Tae Kyung. He is known for his great instincts and good character. On the other hand, Jo Min Se will reportedly play the character named Hong Jae Bi.
"Me Against My Romance" will reportedly air on tvN in 2024.
If Lee Jong Suk confirms his casting for the drama, it will be his return to K-drama after two years. He starred in the 2022 series Big Mouth with Girls Generation's Im Yeon Ah, Kim Joo Hyun, Kwak Dong Yeon, Yang Kyung Won, and Ok Ja Eun.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Lee Jong Suk will be establishing his own production company and will also sign with a new agency. According to reports, Lee Jong Suk is currently discussing with ACE FACTORY his future plans.
Lee Jong Suk did not appear in any acting concerts this year. Many are already anticipating his next upcoming project.
