Korean sci-fi film Alienoid 2 has confirmed a January 2024 release and unveiled a teaser and poster.
Alienoid 2 picks up where it left off in the first part. The film tells the story of people trying to return to the present to save everyone while new secrets are revealed in an intense battle for a divine artifact. Alienoid 2 is expected to solve all the mysteries that the first part left unsolved.
The star-studded cast of the sequel includes Kim Tae Ri, Kim Woo Bin, Ryu Jun Yeol, Yeom Jung Ah, Jo Woo Jin, Jin Seon Kyu, Lee Ha Ni, and Kim Eui Sung.Among others.
The teaser poster for Alienoid 2 shows the main characters Thunder (Kim Woo Bin), Yi In (Kim Tae Ri), and Mo Ryuk (Ryu Jun Yeol). Against the backdrop of dilapidated buildings and eerie atmosphere, along with the text "We must return. To protect everyone", it gives a glimpse into the tense circumstances in which the characters find themselves.
The teaser begins by showing Yi In, who has recovered the Goryeo-era divine artifact, traveling to the future with Mu Ryuk and two magicians from Samgsan (Yeom Jung Ah) and Chung Won (Jo Woo Jin) to prevent a catastrophe.
Thunder, who disappeared after landing in Goryeo with the young woman Yi An, now reveals himself, and travels through a time portal into the future. Moo Ryuk's realization of something inside his body and his changing dynamics with Yi An point to new developments in Part 2.
The scenery of diverse characters, such as the judicial investigator of the Korean Customs Service, Min Jae-in (Lee Ha-ni), the blind swordsman Neung-ba (Jin Seon-kyu) and the formidable villain Ga-gang (Kim Eui-sung) makes up Anticipation of the thriller.
