DrThe upcoming Korean medical drama Doctor Slump announces its official main cast!
On March 14, JTBC confirmed that Park Shin Hye, Park Hyung Sik, Yoon Park, and Jung Seung Ha will be working together in the medical drama Doctor Slump.
Doctor Slump will follow the story of two people who hit a stage of burnout while pursuing their careers. They were rivals in the past and now they meet again when both are in the darkest period of their lives. The two will go from hating each other to becoming each other's strength.
The upcoming Korean drama will be a collaboration between director Eun Hyun Joong
(Find Me in Your Memory and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo)
and screenwriter Baek Sun Woo (My Roommate Is a Gumiho and What's Wrong with Secretary Kim).
Doctor Slump will reportedly begin airing in the second half of 2023 and will air exclusively on JTBC.
Park Shin Hye will play Nam Ha Neul, an anesthesiologist with burnout syndrome, who has been recognized since birth as a genius. Throughout her youth all she did was study. One day, she realizes what has happened in her life and longs for a change.
The actress shared her thoughts about the upcoming drama,
“In a person's life, it seems that one can go through a slump. I always think of ways to overcome that moment and live a healthy life. We will do our best to provide comfort to many people who are tired of living through this drama.”
Park Hyung Sik will play the character of Yoo Jeong Woo, a plastic surgeon who is experiencing the worst slump of his life. He went to the best medical school in South Korea and was always at the top.
