Lee Min Ki and Han Ji Hyun will officially lead the upcoming medical drama Look at Me.
On February 22, wavve officially confirmed that Lee Min Ki and Han Ji Hyun will be working together in Look at Me.
'Look at Me' will depict the story of a former top surgeon whose reputation was tarnished after an incident and now works as a plastic surgeon who helps crime victims. The series will expose the world of Korean plastic surgery.
The upcoming K-drama will be directed by Ahn Sang Hoon who also directed the films The Witness, Empire of Lust, and Arang. The script will be written by Hwang Ye Jin (Secret Mother).
It will be produced by West World Story who also worked on the K-dramas Tracer and Strangers Again. The special visual effects that will feature the plastic surgery scenes will be handled by West World, the same technology that was used in the Netflix dramas All of Us Are Dead, The Silent Sea, and Sweet Home.
Look at Me will begin production next March. It will premiere exclusively in the second half of 2023 through wavve.
Lee Min Ki will play the role of Cha Jung Woo, the best plastic surgeon who makes a patient's life better with amazing visuals through his skills.
This will be his second upcoming drama of 2023. He is also set to star in the upcoming series Behind Your Touch alongside Han Ji Min, EXO's Suho, Park Hyuk Kwon, and Jo Min Kyung. This will be his reunion drama with director Kim Suk Yeon who also worked with him on the drama My Liberation Notes.
Han Ji Hyun will play the role of Lee Min Hyung, a senior investigator in the Violent Crimes Department. She is known for her extreme trust and empathy with people.
Look at Me will be Han Ji Hyun's first project of 2023. Last year, she landed her first lead role in the K-drama Cheer Up where she worked alongside Bae In Hyuk, Kim Hyun Jin, Jang Gyu Ri, Lee Min Jae, and Lee Eun Sim.
