Based on the popular online webtoon, “True Beauty” is a romantic comedy-drama about Lim Ju Gyeong, played by actress Moon Ga Young, who enthusiastically uses makeup to hide her true face and fight her insecurities about her appearance. After she meets Lee Su Ho (Cha Eun Woo), a popular student struggling with his own emotional wounds, they share each other's secrets and learn to heal through love.
Moon Ga Young shared, "Maybe it's because we filmed non-stop for almost seven months, but it still didn't occur to me that 'True Beauty' would end. When I met the senior actors, teachers and friends, I was very happy and had a good time. It's a pity that I have to prepare to say goodbye now."

Im Se Mi played Lim Ju Gyeong's older sister Lim Hee Gyeong, and also showed a playful romance with Oh Eui Sik who played Han Jun Woo.
