A new celebrity couple is born!
Actress Han Ji Min and Janapee band's lead singer Choi Jung Hoon have been confirmed to be in a relationship. The media reported on August 8 that the two had recently developed their relationship into a romantic one.
As reports spread, both agencies shared their official statement.
Han Ji Min's agency BH Entertainment stated, "Han Ji Min is dating Choi Jung Hoon. They first met through a program and their relationship recently developed into a romantic relationship. Please give them a lot of support." Likewise, Choi Jung Hoon's agency also confirmed the relationship and asked fans to watch the couple with warm eyes.
Han Ji Min and Choi Jung Hoon first met through KBS entertainment show The Seasons Season 2and Choi Jung Hoon's Night Park in August last year. The two also participated in a duet and sang Jannabi's song "A thought on an autumn night" as well as 10CM's song "Spring to Love" which was part of the Korean drama Our Blues starring Han Ji Min.
Aside from the KBS show, Han Ji Min's agency also shared a video of her training with Choi Jung Hoon for the show. In the clip, the actress expressed her admiration for the singer and had attended a Janabi concert before.
According to reports, Han Ji Min and Choi Jung Hoon maintained their friendship after the KBS show and their relationship has recently developed into a romantic relationship.
News of their relationship is attracting attention as this is the first time in 26 years since her debut that Han Ji Min has admitted that she is in a romantic relationship.
Another notable aspect of this relationship is the age difference between the couple. Han Ji Min, born in 1982, is 10 years older than Choi Jung Hoon, born in 1992.
Actor Han Ji Min is set to star in upcoming Korean dramas Acquaintances and More Beautiful Than Heaven.
On the other hand, Choi Jong Hoon will hold his first solo concert next September.
