Woo Do Hwan is in discussion to star in an upcoming K-drama starring top actor Kim So Hyun.
On July 15, media outlets reported that Woo Do Hwan will be joining the upcoming Disney+ original K-drama Knock Off.
Wu Do Hwan's agency has shared its response to the casting reports. According to Studio Blitzway, "Woo Do Hwan has received an offer to star in the new K-drama Knock Off. The actor is currently reviewing it."
This will likely be Woo Do Hwan's third upcoming K-drama. This year, the actor will join the cast of the upcoming Korean drama Mr. Plankton. He will be working alongside Lee Yu Mi, Oh Se Jung, Kim Hye Suk, Zakim Min Seok, and Lee Il.
Woo Do Hwan will also return to Season 2 of Bloodhounds.
Aside from the K-drama, Woo Do Hwan will also return to the movie scene with Night Fever. He will star alongside Jang Dong Geun, Girls Day's Lee Hye Ri, Park Sung Hoon, Kim Min Suk, and Kim Min.
Knock Off is set in the Asian financial crisis from 1997 to the early 2000s. The K-drama will tell the story of an ordinary man who became unemployed during the IMF crisis. Then he decided to get into the imitation business at the end of the twentieth century. Ultimately, he became a volatile king not only in South Korea but throughout the world in the 21st century.
The Korean drama will be a joint work between director Park Hyun Suk (Uncontrollably Fond and Stranger Season 2) and writer Han Jung Hoon. SLL and Arc Media will produce the upcoming drama.
Knock Off will be led by Kim So Hyun, Jo Bo Ah, Kim Si Eun, Yoo Jae Myung, Go Gyu Pil, Lee Jong Eun, and more.
Woo Do Hwan got an offer to play the role of Lee Min Suk in the series. He is Kim Seung Joon's character's high school classmate who will help him through his financial crisis. Ae Min Sook is currently the CEO of the largest portal site in South Korea.
Knock Off will be shown exclusively on Disney+. According to reports, the Korean drama will consist of 9 episodes.
