Actress Park Eun Bin will be the first solo host at the opening ceremony of the 28th Busan International Film Festival.
Actor Lee Ji Hoon, who was to co-host the opening ceremony with Park Eun Bin, had to withdraw due to health reasons.SoThe Busan International Film Festival chose the unconventional form of making Park Eun Bin the sole host instead of looking for another male host. This makes her the first solo host and the first solo host at the festival's opening ceremony.
Known for her versatility, Park Eun Bin has gained immense love from fans all over the world. The actress is particularly known for playing autistic lawyer Wooyoung Woo in the K-drama Extraordinary Lawyer Woo, for which she won the TV Rising Star Award at the 2022 Critics' Choice Awards and the Grand Prize at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards in TV category. After that, she cemented her position as one of the best actresses in South Korea.
With Park Eun Bin displaying her signature charm at the opening of the festival, many Korean and Asian stars are also expected to participate, creating a dazzling red carpet event.
The 28th Busan International Film Festival will span ten days and be held at the Busan Film Center from October 4 to October 13.
