Marital status: Married to Lee Soo Jin since 1988. He has a daughter, born in 1989, named Cha No Ah, and a daughter born in 2003, named Cha Yi Ni. Telephone Cha Sung Won was born on June 7, 1970. He obtained an engineering degree from Mokwon University before embarking on a modeling career. After his success as a model, he was chosen for the play New York Story, which paved the way for him to act. Although his film Holiday in Seoul 1997 and many of his subsequent roles did not make him a star. But he gained attention in 2000 with his performance as a firefighter in the firefighting film Libra ME, and the following summer he had a huge success in director Kim Sang-jin's comedy film Kick The Moon, which sold more than 4.3 million tickets and thus secured a place in the acting industry through this strong call. Since then, all of his films have been successful at the box office, as he was ranked among the ten bankable stars in a poll of film producers in 2005. At the beginning of the year 2003 Cha Song took on serious roles as a corrupt teacher transferred to a rural school in the movie My Teacher Mr Kim, a movie that collected more than 2.4 million in profits. This is a new addition to Cha Song’s acting abilities, but he was paired with the same director in the movie Small Town Rivals in 2007. He also played a successful comedy role with his director Kim Sang Jin in the movie Ghost House, where he played the role of a man who bought the house of his dreams but discovered that it belonged to a ghost inhabiting it. In 2005, he put aside his comedic roles and started acting in fear films with the movie Blood Rian. This movie achieved commercial success, and Cha Sung's popularity unexpectedly increased in Korean circles. He also appeared in two comedies by director Jang Jin: Murder, Take one & My son. He also made his first melodrama Over The Border, elegant detective films, Eye for an Eye & Secret. He also acted in the political film City Hell 2009. The year 2010 was busy for him, as he acted in Blades of Blood, the Korean film 71: Into the Fire, and also Athena: Goddess of War.
