GoAre was born in Jinju, South Gyeongsang, South Korea, and when she was young, she moved to all parts of Korea because of her father’s work, who was a soldier. When she was in high school, she was recommended by her friend to choose a talent from SM Entertainment. In 2003, she was the winner of the “Best Teen Model” program, which was organized by the agency. After joining the agency, she trained with trainees who joined the same agency, including singers, actors, and dancers.
