Otani Ryohei

Otani Ryohei is a Japanese actor and model. He began his modeling career in Japan, then moved to the world of Korean entertainment in 2003. He appeared in commercials for Dunkin' Donuts, Hyundai Motors, Olympus, and SK Telecom, and later in several music videos. His proficiency in the Korean language and growing popularity helped him land television roles, starting with the MBC comedy series "Soulmet" in 2006. Otani's acting career developed in South Korea through his participation in family series such as "The Road Home" and "Dear My Sister", and then in the popular thriller series "The Chaser" on SBS. In 2014, he won the International Star Award at the 7th Korean Drama Awards for his role in the series "Joseon Gunman." He also gained recognition for his cinematic roles in blockbuster historical films such as “War of the Arrows” and “The Admiral: Roaring Currents.” Recently, his acting career took off in Japan with roles in the series “Love Song” and “Nigiro wa Hagi Da Ga Yaku ni Tatsu” in 2016.
