Kiyohara Kaya

Kiyohara Kaya, born in Osaka, is a Japanese model, actress and singer. As an actress, she is represented by Amuse, and as a singer, she is signed to Colorful Records. She is currently an exclusive model for the fashion magazine “Seventeen”. Since the fifth grade of elementary school, she has joined the Youth Theater Japan group in Hyogo, where she learned dancing, singing, musical acting, and ballet. In 2014, when she was 12 years old, she applied to participate in Amuse Agency's "2014 Amuse Audition Festival," which her mother helped her apply for. In the same year, she won the grand prize out of 32,214 people. She began her entertainment activities in 2015, and attracted attention through her advertisements that year. Since April, she has been the exclusive model for the fashion magazine "Nicola", and appeared on her first solo cover of the magazine in 2018. In March 2018, she graduated from the position of the magazine's exclusive model. Since the September issues were released on August 1, 2018, she has been the exclusive model for Seventeen magazine. As an actress, she made her debut in 2015 through the series “Asa Ga Kita.” In 2016, she got her first starring role in the series “Death Cash.” In July 2018, she participated in her first NHK series titled "Tome na Yurikago", where her performance in the drama was very well received. The series won the grand prize in the TV drama category at the 73rd Japan Arts Festival in 2018. It also won three awards; “New Face” Award from the Annual Confidence Drama Awards, the Annual Grand Newcomer Award in 2018, and the “Best Actress” Award from the Tokyo Drama Awards in 2019. She moved to Tokyo from Osaka to begin her large-scale entertainment activities. As a singer, she sang the song "Kimaguri Kumo" for the movie "Day and Night", which was written, composed and produced by RADWIMPS member Noda. She also supervised the singing of the song “Nana’s Lullaby” for the movie “Hotarugosa”. In September 2020, she released her debut album via Victor Entertainment.
