Kim Chung

Ahn Chung-hee, known professionally as Kim Chung, is a South Korean actress. She graduated from Seonhwa Arts High School, then enrolled in the dance program at Kyunghee University, but dropped out to pursue acting. After winning second place in the Miss MBC competition in 1981, she made her debut later that year as part of the channel's 14th open recruitment program for talent. At the peak of her career, she also appeared as a prominent presenter on several MBC programmes. However, she was embroiled in controversy when she married a businessman in 1998, then separated from him three days later. At that time, Korean society was not tolerant of divorced celebrities, so she stopped working because no channel wanted to hire her. She returned to television in the early 2000s, and is still active today.
