Ye Ri

Kim Ye Rim, known professionally as Yeri, is a South Korean singer, dancer and member of the band Red Velvet (레드벨벳). She graduated from Hanlim High School of the Arts. Before her debut, she was selected by SM Entertainment (SM엔터테인먼트) in 2011 during a public audition. She joined the band SM Rockies, which was part of the label, and also appeared in the music videos for Henry's songs "1-4-3" and SHINee's songs "Why So Serious". She debuted in March 2015, joining the group as a new sub-vocalist, sub-rapper, and maknae, with the release of the album "Ice Cream Cake". Red Velvet had debuted seven months ago, but SM decided that adding a fifth member would be the perfect choice. Since she was a trainee in the company, she knew all of her bandmates, which made it easier for her to fit in. She also turned to acting, appearing in variety programs and as a presenter. On April 4, 2025, SM Entertainment announced the end of Yeri's exclusive contract with the agency, but she will continue to work with the agency in her activities as a member of Red Velvet. On May 1, 2025, she signed an exclusive contract with Blitzway Entertainment.
